Conjure is the first independent feature from the mind of Matt Busch.  While Busch himself was responsible for writing, acting, directing and producing, credit is due to many that lent expertise...

Matt Busch has been regarded as one of the top 'entertainment illustrators'.  Critics have labeled his work as “astounding”, Real Detroit Weekly calls him the “Rock Star of Illustration”, and Comic’s Buyer’s Guide Magazine pronounced him as one of the “Favorite Painters of the Century!”

Graduating from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, it wasn’t long before Busch was working on movies like CON AIR, and The MATRIX.

Writing and illustrating for dozens of STAR WARS books and magazines, he created the cover of TALES From The EMPIRE, which became a New York Times Bestseller.  Busch has also been involved with creating artwork for advertising and marketing the STAR WARS prequels, EPISODEs I, II, and III.

Busch has worked with major musical artists like ALICE COOPER, BEASTIE BOYS, BECK, BLACK SABBATH, CINDERELLA, FOO FIGHTERS, GARBAGE, KID ROCK, L.L. COOL J, BILLY JOEL, POISON, MEGADETH, MOTLEY CRUE, TED NUGENT, OZZY OSBOURNE, and JESSICA SIMPSON; as well
such properties as LORD OF THE RINGS, THE CROW, G.I. JOE, The HULK, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, RESERVOIR DOGS, LEXX, BRUCE LEE, WITCHBLADE, ROBOCOP, The MUMMY, STARGATE SG-1,  and STAR TREK.

Busch has also pursued his love of teaching, having taught  at the Center for Creative Studies, the Columbus College of Art and Design, and currently professing in the Media + Communication Arts at Macomb Community College.

Currently living in Macomb Township, Michigan, Matt Busch continues to work on many ‘Hollywood’ projects via Internet, Fed Ex and Fax.  He is also working on his own properties, including CRISIS (a critically acclaimed illustrated screenplay). A hardcover collection of his selected works titled FANTASTIC VISIONS: The Art of Matt Busch was recently published by Avatar Press.  And in loving memory of Charles M. Shultz, Busch has written and illustrated the official HOW TO DRAW PEANUTS book.

His artwork is owned by many celebrities, including Pamela Anderson, Alley Baggett, Dave Coulier, Larry Flynt, Danny Glover, Dave Grohl, Mark Hamill, Richard Hatch, L.L. Cool J, Kid Rock, John Leguizamo, Traci Lords, George Lucas, Bret Michaels, Ted Nugent, Rikki Rockett, LeeAnn Tweeden, Uncle Kracker, Edward Van Halen, Keenan Ivory Wayans, and Peta Wilson.

Sarah Wilkinson is a professional model who's likeness has been published in print, on the web, on apparel, and in video.

Once Wilkinson had modeled for Busch in a yet to be completed TOMB RAIDER project, She became the featured model in a video documentary for the recent FANTASTIC VISIONS: The Art of Matt Busch DVD.

Sarah is also the official photo cover model of THE PERFECT VICTIM, a comic book created by writer Paul Michael Kane (see below) and illustrated by Chris Ring.  The photo shoots for this series are all shot by the notorious photographer, Frank Lombardo, and art directed by Matt Busch.

Aside from co-starring as herself in Conjure, Sarah found herself behind the camera and assisting with editing.  Officially, Sarah Wilkinson not only designed all of the ghosts for Conjure, she also hand-created each of the intricate costumes for the four wicked apparitions.  On top of that, Wilkinson was also responsible for the special effects makeup.

Sarah has also began an incredible career in entertainment illustration, having worked with such properties as STAR WARS, LORD OF THE RINGS, SHI, and MY LITTLE PONY. 

Last but not least, Sarah Wilkinson works at Macomb Community College both as a Lab Technician for the traditional design area of the Media + Communication Arts program, as well as a model for the Photography Department.


Shawn Sheehan is both an incredible traditional and digital illustrator, working in every aspect of the industry.

Proficient in numerous 2-D and 3-D software packages, Sheehan has produced static and motion material for such clients as General Motors, Ford Motor Company, DaimlerChrystler, Harley-Davidson, HASBRO, U.S. Army and MSX International.

He has co-created artwork with Busch for many licensed properties including WITCHBLADE and THE CROW.  In addition, he has animated numerous Matt Busch projects including CRISIS, ALIZARIN'S JOURNAL, and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: The Art of Matt Busch.

The team also co-illustrated the McCANDLESS & COMPANY graphic novel for Mandalay Books.

Sheehan was also the co-creator of STAR WARS: THE SITH RESURRECTION, and animated feature written and illustrated by Busch.  Sheehan produced all of the digital backdrops, and all of the editing / digital animation.

For Conjure,  Sheehan is providing digital special effects for numerous key scenes.

Shawn is also an instructor of Media + Communication Arts at Macomb Community College.  He lives in Warren, Michigan where he runs his own company, Shnickerdoodle Studios, with his wife Deanna and daughter Laney.
Shawn is also a founding member of the digital design group C G Cocktail.


Frank Lombardo is an incredible award-winning photographer who is versed in all avenues of imaging,  both traditional and digital.

Lombardo has worked with Matt Busch on many occasions, and has known him for a long time, as he is married to Busch's sister, Delena.

Many Busch fans recognize Frank Lombardo right away as the cover and storyboard model for the lead character, 'Bruce Lombardo', in CRISIS- Busch's illustrated screenplay.  CRISIS is currently in development as a major Hollywood Motion Picture...

Lom bardo often serves as Busch's exclusive photographer, as Lombardo shoots reference for many of the Hollywood projects that Busch illustrates.

Recently, Frank Lombardo did a photo shoot with Conjure star Sarah Wilkinson as the official model/photos for THE PERFECT VICTIM, a comic book created by Paul Michael Kane.

As for Conjure, Lombardo was the official still photographer during principal photography.

Frank Lombardo also teaches alongside Matt Busch at Macomb Community College in the Media + Communication Arts Program's Photography Department.

Scott Condne is a long-time friend of Matt Busch's.  The two used to be in local rock bands together from middle school all the way into college.

Condne has continued on in many aspects of the music business, writing, producing, and instructing. 

Collaborating with his brother John, president of Condne Films, Inc., Scott has composed several scores and mixed a number of pieces for independent works.

With Conjure, Scott Condne has worked with many aspects of sound recording, mastering, and producing of original sound effects.

Condne has worked with Busch on many of his animated projects, editing and mastering music fro such animated shorts as CRISIS and both the FANTASTIC VISIONS and Planetmatt Entertainment DV Headers.

The biggest collaborative effort between Busch and Condne has been the animated STAR WARS project, THE SITH RESURRECTION.  In addition to mixing, editing and mastering the score, Condne worked with both a library of Lucasfilm sound effects, as well as producing original original material.

True friends till the end, Condne lives just down the road from Busch in Macomb Township.  He is also a music teacher with Utica Community Schools.

Paul Michael Kane is a professional writer, editor, graphic designer, and art collector.

Kane is mostly known for the 30+ web sites he's designed, most of which have been centered around artists and studios within the comic book industry.

The flagship site that Kane wields happens to be MattBusch.com, which is a 5-star rated site and has received over a million hits.

Other projects that Kane has collaborated on with Busch include digitally coloring Busch's art for licensed properties like THE CROW and VAMPIRELLA. 

More recently, Paul has created and written a new comic book series called THE PERFECT VICTIM, to be released soon.  The book features the stars of Conjure, as Sarah Wilkinson is the official photo model and Matt Busch is painting the cover to issue 1.

Paul Michael Kane's involvement with Conjure has been not only serving as technical advisor to  the official web site, but working digitally with several of the art pieces used for the movie.

Kane works in New York regularly as a graphic designer for print and web media.
