CONJURE SHATTERS PRESALE RECORD! Last week, HorrorMovies.com confirmed that Conjure is now their HIGHEST PRESELLING MOVIE OF ALL TIME! Released today in the United States and Canada, Conjure broke the record with days to spare. Glenn Young, owner of HorrorMovies.com commented, "Conjure is proof positive that indie horror is alive and well, setting a new presale record here at HorrorMovies.com." Conjure Creator Matt Busch adds, "It's been a lot of work promoting this movie. It's also difficult competing with other big budget movies. In fact, in addition to Conjure, another movie is being released today that you may have heard of... King Kong! Saturday, March 4th, 2006 On Sunday, March 12th, Conjure on DVD will get a very special advanced release at the notorious DARK DELICACIES store in the heart of Burbank, California. Matt Busch and Sarah Wilkinson will be there from 2pm to 4pm to help ring in the festivities! The DVD retails at only 14.99, and you'll be able to get it over two weeks before it's released everywhere else on March 28th! Busch and Wilkinson will be signing copies for free, and everyone who shows up will get a signed 8 X 10 of the stars! In addition, Busch and Wilkinson will have plenty of original art on display, as well as posters, T-Shirts, and other exclusive merchandise you won't want to miss! Friday, March 3rd, 2006 Who isn't a fan of FANGORIA?! The number one horror magazine around! Well, you won't want to miss the latest issue, as it features a fantastic article on Conjure! Thursday, March 2nd, 2006 Razor Digital Entertainment is planning some exciting things for the upcoming WIZARD WORLD LOS ANGELES show! Scheduled to run March 17th through the 19th, folks interested in Conjure will be in for a surprise! In addition to offering the DVD before you can get it anywhere else, Matt Busch and Sarah Wilkinson will be present during scheduled signing times to sign your DVD for you! Plus, all copies will come with a free signed 8 X 10 as well! Plus, on Sunday, March 19th at Noon, there will be a special Conjure panel in the WIZARD AUDITORIUM! Tuesday, October 25th, 2005 Good news for all of you movie connoissuers! Conjure will be offered in Anamorphic Widescreen format, when released on DVD early next year. If you have an HD or Widescreen Television, this will make the best use of your 1:1.85 (16X9) aspect ratio. Of course, regular televisions will automatically fill black bars above and below so you can expeience the cinematic picture without it being squeezed. Explains CONJURE creator Matt Busch, "This movie was originally shot on 1:1.33 Digital Video. The decision to move to Widescreen was difficult, since the composition was designed at a different aspect ra tio. However, after physicallt tweaking every single shot in the editing room, I'm blown away with the results. The movie looks incredible!" CONJURE LANDS DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH RAZOR DIGITAL! Monday, Sepetember 26th, 2005 Matt Busch, renowned illustrator and president of Planetmatt Entertainment, has signed a deal with Razor Digital Entertainment to release CONJURE on Home Video / DVD. Set to be released early in 2006, CONJURE is the first independent feature from Busch, who wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the movie. "I'm ecstatic to be working with Razor Digital," commented Busch. "They put out top-notch products and are the perfect home for CONJURE." Razor Digital is a full service home video and DVD sales, marketing, and distribution company, licensing, distributing and producing a wide range of exciting titles for both the sell-through and rental markets. Thursday, July 29th, 2005 As you can tell from the images on this web site, CONJURE, on the surface level, has nothing to do with STAR WARS or anything from the "Galaxy Far, Far Away..." However, there are a few behind-the-scenes connections that you may not be aware of. First and foremost, Matt Busch has been an officially licensed artist for STAR WARS for almost 12 years. Since the movie is based around the real lives of Matt Busch and Sarah Wilkinson, you can catch glimpses of rare STAR WARS items and artwork in the background. Another tidbit you may not have known- since CONJURE was filmed a year and a half ago, Sarah Wilkinson herself has also become an official STAR WARS artist. Like Busch, Sarah has illsutrated numerous trading cards, posters, and is slated to write and illustrate a "HOW TO DRAW" tutorial for StarWars.com. As you may have read below, Anthony Daniels (who palyed C-3PO in all of the STAR WARS films) also has a cameo in CONJURE! He only has a few lines, and it is brief, but cool nonetheless! Wednesday, July 6th, 2005 A brand new 'teaser' trailer is up for download, exclusively here at ConjureTheMovie.com on the TRAILERS page! Available in Quicktime format, this killer look at CONJURE is a whopping sixty seconds long! You may also notice that the original, full-length trailer has been temporaily removed. CONJURE Creator Matt Busch comments, "When the first trailer was released a year ago, Much of the movie had yet to be shot, and none of it was edited." Since then, many new special effects, music and sound effects have been updated. "A new, better version of that trailer will be up soon." The current 'teaser' trailer, while only a minute long, may give a better indication of what you'll be in store for with CONJURE. Busch adds, "The teaser trailer is more evocative, but really reflects the quality of entertainment you're going to experience." Also- Feel free to tell your friends! Spread the word! Saturday, January 1st, 2005 Happy New Year! Work on Conjure during the Holiday Season has been hectic, but also exciting. One of the recent milestones achieved has been the completion of digital effects. While you might not think of Conjure as a 'special effects' movie, there are over 300 digital effect shots. The majority of these shots were edited at Planetmatt Studios. However, a dozen of the most complex shots were outsourced to Shnickerdoodle studios in Warren, Michigan, where digital animator Shawn Sheehan brought them to life. Says Conjure Creator Matt Busch, "I knew I wanted Shawn's talents from the beginning. We've worked together on a number of STAR WARS and WITCHBLADE projects, and he also didi the animation for my CRISIS and ALIZARIN'S JOURNAL shorts. I knew he could do wonders with the live-action fottage I provided." Most of these shots or scenes may be obvious, as they involve ghosts or some other supernatural phenomenon, but many of digital effects won't be as visible. Comments Busch, "Many of the effects are there to enhance the background, or help with continutity. For example, there are scenes where half of the snow you see is real, and half of it has been added digitally." CONJURE IS BURIED! Wednesday, September 22nd, 2004 One of the coolest websites covering the Horror Movie and Fiction Genre is Buried.com. You can find over sixteen hundred horror movies reviewed there! Wow! Monday, August 2nd, 2004 Bill George's (former publisher of FEMME FATALES MAGAZINE) notorious Pin-Up website, RedHotPlanet.Net, has an article on CONJURE and an interview with Matt Busch. Wednesday, June 30th, 2004 While details are extremely sketchy, it has been confirmed that Anthony Daniels, the actor and voice of See Threepio from all six STAR WARS films, has a cameo in Conjure the movie! More soon... PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY IS COMPLETE! Friday, April 16th, 2004 The bulk schedule of live-action shooting has wrapped on Conjure! While the movie has moved on to the post-production phase, Matt Busch does state that a few pick-up shots for key sequences are scheduled for the Summer. In the mean-time, Busch and Sarah Wilkinson are beginning the digital editing process, and Shawn Sheehan at Shnickerdoodle Studios is already head first into some of the more complicated special effects shots! On November 11th, 2005, Matt Busch hosted a sneak preview of Conjure to a packed audience at Macomb College's Tech Auditorium! Also in attendance were many of the movie's actors and crew, including Sarah Wilkinson and Mitch Perliss, the Executive Vice President of Razor Digital Entertainment. Busch, the writer, director, producer, and star of the movie comments, "There's nothing like seeing your movie with a live audience. There wasn't a seat left in the auditorium. Not only were folks standing in the back, folks were standing out in the rear foyer, looking through the doors to watch the movie!" Continues Busch, "Just hearing the audience reaction is incredible. Hearing everyone scream... Hearing everyone laugh, at the right times, mind you... Words can't describe how excited I am for this to get out."  During the entire event, Busch was constantly throwing Conjure T-Shirts, Hats, and Dog Tags into the audience. Six pieces of framed original art was raffled to lucky winners. Movie Posters were also provided to everyone who stayed through until the end of the evening, which Busch and Wilkinson signed. Comments Busch, "I like to throw a good party. We had free food, drinks, and desserts. I gave out over 100 T-Shirts and tons of other giveaways. Razor Digital also supplied another two dozen shirts. It's not every day that you get to make a movie, and actually have people come and see for that matter! So I like to do it up in style."  Missed
