Welcome
to the STUDIO TOUR of Matt Busch's home
and headquarters of PlanetMatt Entertainment. In addition to Busch's
personal living space, the house boasts twenty-two rooms to include
studio and recreational areas as well. There are even three secret
doors / passageways. You'll see Matt's art studio, mini movie
theater, classic video arcade, and more! Here's Matt to be your
personal tour guide...

"Hi!
Welcome to
my home! Take off your shoes... Stay a while. I've been fortunate
enough to build my dream home over the years, and I'm happy to
share it with you. Believe me, I spent years living in a one-bedroom
apartment in Los Angeles, living with as many as five people under
the same roof- so it's made the comfort and space I have now all-the-more
sweet."

"A
quick disclaimer, though, before we get started... I've put this
tour together because I get a lot of interest from folks who want
to see what my work and living space is like. The fact that you're
here right now, you may be one of them.
"While
I do have some fun and flashy things, please understand that this
tour is not intended to 'show off'. Anyone who knows me will tell
you that I'm one of the most down-to-Earth guys they know. That
being said, I've worked really hard, paid my dues, and am now
glad to be enjoying a little success. But that has nothing to
do with my passion- I would be drawing and painting the same stuff
even if I wasn't getting paid for it. The fact that I can do this
for a living is a dream come true, and something I never take
for granted.
"Nuff'
said- come on over!"

Matt
lives in Macomb Township, about an hour North of Detroit. "One
of the nice things about Michigan is we truly get four vast seasons
here. Today we happen to have snow."

Tall
arborvitae trees surround the perimeter of Matt's property. Claims
Matt, "I like privacy, so I had eighty-eight arborvitae trees
planted a few years back."

"After
that, I became a tree connoisseur. It's like I collect them now!
Here, in addition to the arborvitae, you can see a blue juniper,
a weeping mulberry and a blazing autumn."

Huge
turret-like walls spiral around the home, standing as tall as
5 feet in some areas. "I've spent two summers building these
retaining walls. I make them a lot taller than most people, but
I've always imagined my dream home to be castle-like, and this
helps it feel that way."

The
winding pavement leading to the front door.

"The
names of the two lions that greet you are Nimba and Jimba. My
buddies Neil and Jimmy named them after themselves."

The
entrance to Matt's home from the inside. "I never noticed
until my buddy Tracy pointed this out a week ago, but doesn't
the front door look like Artoo Detoo?! I wonder if that had anything
to do with me loving this house from the moment I laid eyes on
it..."

To
an artist, lighting is everything, and you'll notice the different
effect the same room has when lit at night.
