MATT'S
OFFICE

As you enter
Busch's office, the walls are also covered with his framed work,
though here you'll see more familiar pieces. "I've got a
bunch of random chairs here for now. These are for if I'm working
with clients or colleagues, or just showing stuff to friends."

One
of Busch's rare works, a never-used cover from his comic book,
Alizarin's Journal.

"At
the moment, pretty much anything I do that's digital, this is
where it happens. Email, surfing the 'Net, touching up art with
PhotoShop, editing video... In fact, you'll notice the mic set
up, as I'm currently doing voice-overs for a new How to Draw Star
Wars episode. Right now I have 3 computers I actively use, but
eventually, a lot of this will be delegated to my digital editing
suite, and audio mix room, once they are complete."

"I have
5 printers in this room at the moment. I seem to run through them
really quick before they go kaput. Hence why I keep the boxes
handy before they hit the dumpster. You'll also notice the plethora
of external hard drives I have running on my Macs, and 12"
X 18" scanner."

"Sadly,
it seems that business keeps me in here more these days than in
the art studio. But that's okay, Han Solo keeps me company. He
'aint going anywhere. And I still need to hang it up, but here
is also one of the limited edition full-size Conjure movie posters
that were made."

Doing
his best to effectively use space, an entire wall in the office
is stacked with boxes of Busch's graphic novel, Crisis. "Rather
than put these in storage, I keep these here because I know sooner
or later, when the movie happens, these are gonna fly like hot
cakes!"

Continuing
on through the home, the walls are adorn with exotic vases and
masks from Indonesia.

In one hallway
stands this giant piece, framed in black bamboo. "This very
well may be the largest painting I've ever done."

"I
don't know why I'm so drawn to this kind of art. I know as a kid,
I found Shiva statues frightening, but as an adult I just think
this stuff is gorgeous."

"It's
funny, I really wanted these rooms to look domestic, rather than
covered in all of my pop culture stuff, although it still looks
like another world in here. The running joke is that it looks
more like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!"
