Busch Illustrates Joe Louis: The Spirit of Detroit

Matt Busch was recently a guest at an office opening party for one of Vaco Global‘s new branches in Southfield, part of the metropolitan Detroit area. During the day-long even, Busch painted a giant illustration of a young Joe Louis with the spirit of Detroit sports, while guests mingled by and watched throughout the day amongst other fun activities.

Joe Louis isn’t just part of Boxing history, he is Boxing history. He was far more than just a talented athlete; he was a cultural force who redefined boxing and acted as a symbol of American hope and unity during a tumultuous era.

Detroit is a unique city in that it represents 4 major sports: Baseball with the Detroit Tigers, Football with the Detroit Lions, Basketball with the Detroit Pistons, and Hockey with the Detroit Red Wings.
